The LORD said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.” Exodus 3: 7 |
|
The children of Israel were slaves in
the land of Egypt. A slave was treated worse than an animal. They were not paid
and suffered shame and pain. There was no one to stand on their behalf. Having
no hope, they turned to God and lifted up their voices.
There have been times when my heart was
overwhelmed by sorrow; I didn’t have the words to pray. I have even thought,
“Does God know what I’m going through. Does He know my pain?” Yes! He is aware
of even the smallest detail of sorrow that we going through and He himself has
experienced it on the cross.
Do not worry; people may have acted in
jealousy, they may even have tried to humiliate you and hurt you without any
reason. You may be experiencing injustice at the hands of your own family,
probably. Christ is concerned about you and He will certainly move on your
behalf. All those who rose against you will be put to shame. He will lift up
your head. Cheer Up! You are special to Him. |

| Prayer for the day |

Dear heavenly father, I thank you because you are working on my behalf even if I have not realised it. I give you the glory. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen! |
