“Then I will repay you for the years that the mature locusts, the adult locusts, the grasshoppers, and the young locusts ate your crops.” Joel 2: 25 |
|
Recently we were in a small village
preaching the gospel. The pastor’s family hosted us at their home for the four
days we had to stay there. Most of the people in this village were farmers and
they cultivated bananas. On the last day before the meetings there was strong
wind and heavy rain.
The pastor told me that the farmers
would be suffering a heavy loss if the strong winds continued. As a young boy
he had been helping his dad with his fields and had good knowledge of farming.
He told me that the farmers worked hard for almost a year and if during the
harvest such a thing happened a whole year’s labour would be lost.
Sometimes we go through such experiences,
before you realise what you had worked hard for is gone. Probably, it looks
like you’ve wasted many years. We all have wasted years; the years that we
spent in the world before coming to Christ are definitely wasted years. But do
not be disheartened; you’ve entered into a season where God is going to restore
to you all that you have lost. Your time, joy, anointing and all that you could
have earned is going to be restored many fold. Cheer Up! |

| Prayer for the day |
|
Dear heavenly father, thank you for your love. Cause me to experience your goodness and mercy so that your name will be glorified among the nations. In Jesus name I pray. Amen! |
