Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. 1Samuel16:7
I always imagine like this - David would have left the sheep to grace the pastures and he would have sat in the cool shade of some tree and he would have been singing praises with his harp to the God of Israel. He also would have danced before the Lord in jubilant praises. Praise was David's life style. He never looked for opportunities to praise God. Praise was his breath; he praised God regardless of the circumstances or the situations. Therefore David's heart was humble before God; pleasing before God. He never took pride for the conquests he had. Praise will keep a person's heart humble before God and you will be pleasing in the sight of the Lord. Praise is the barrier for pride, pride can never enter where praise is.
One of the reasons that David had such mighty victories wherever he went was because he was humble before God. Praise kept his heart humble.
Therefore friends, imbibe praise as a life style and certainly you will see God's hand manifesting in all your situations; you will see great victories like David. The author of the above message is John Mohana Prakash B.E., the Founder President of Jesus The Joy Ministries. |
