Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Matthew 11: 28

God promises to give us rest in any situation and in any circumstance.  He is without partiality.  Whoever you are, you may come as you are to Him.  When God promises us rest, he promises the rest that He enjoys. 

It [is] a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. Exodus 31: 17

The Lord God Almighty created the heavens and the earth and rested on the seventh day.

Upholding all things by the word of his power... sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. Hebrews 1:3  

He is meticulously sustaining the world we are living in. Yet at the same time he is resting. This is the rest that God is promising us. In whatever you set your hand to you will have the peace of God and you will be refreshed. You will not have to toil and sweat like the people who do not acknowledge God in their work, for he will work with you and give you success and rest.
